Hi-Spec Consulting™.
Up to £1,000 of
funding available to help improve your business.
As with all funding there are
eligibility criteria – these are set out below. If you think you
qualify for funding, then we can help you access the grants. There is no charge
for this service.

TRAINING GRANT FUNDING FROM
THE LEADERSHIP AND
MANAGEMENT ADVISORY SERVICE (LMAS)
Our business training and coaching days start from
£500.00.
We also offer mix-and-match course & coaching packages.
Funded Packages
Our most popular packages are (1) our comprehensive Management
Development Programme or (2) a mix-and-match of courses and 1-2-1 coaching
sessions or (3) a series of 1-2-1 coaching sessions; designed for you to get
the maximum £1,000 refund.
Courses
All our interactive courses are focussed on your business getting the
best from its staff, whether though improving performance or by learning new
skills. We insist on a maximum of 10 delegates per course to ensure everyone
has an opportunity to fully take part. The real learning though comes through
application – and we can assist with on-going 1-2-1 coaching as part of
the funded package.
Funding
Successful applicants can claim up to a
maximum of £1,000 from the
LMAS for management and leadership training provided by Hi-Spec
Consulting™. The amount of grant
awarded by the LMAS must be fully matched £ for £ by the
applicant’s organisation.
For example:
If the training programme costs £1,000 + VAT, the client may
claim back £500
If the training programme
costs £2,000 or over + VAT, the client may claim back a
maximum of £1,000
Organisations
will not be able to reclaim VAT from the LMAS, nor will the funding cover
incidental costs e.g. accommodation or travel.

Eligibility Criteria – this can easily be met by most businesses:
1. Businesses
must be able to demonstrate the potential for high or fast growth.
This
is defined as either:
(a) An existing business that can be expected to increase turnover
by 20% or more for each
of the next 3 years.
(b) A new business (less than 1 year old) that can be expected
to reach a turnover of £500,000 or more in three year’s
time The Government estimates that around 10% of all
businesses can meet these criteria.
2.
The beneficiaries of the training should be businesses/organisations
employing between 2 and 249 full-time equivalent employees:
(a)
For organisations employing less than 50 staff, only the owner,
CEO or equivalent can access the funding.
(b) For organisations employing 50-249 staff, key directors/key
managers who report directly to the most senior person and have
strategic responsibility for the business are also eligible.
NB: You are NOT eligible for funding if any of the following apply:
1. Businesses/organisations that have previously
been supported through LMAS.
2. Public Sector organisations (including Local
Authority controlled schools).
3. Individuals from outside the EU who have
not lived in the EU for the last 3 years.
4. Businesses employing less than 2 or more
than 250 people.
5. Businesses that cannot demonstrate high or
fast growth potential.

We run our courses in a number of venues across the South at various locations
including Portsmouth, Southampton,
Surrey and the Isle of Wight. Registration begins at 8:45 and we usually
finish at 16:30. Tailored
courses can also be delivered in-house at your premises.
Administration
We have teamed up with our local Skills South East
Advisor and made the application process as simple as possible. Apart from the
initial application form, all the required grant paperwork will be completed
quickly on the day of the course.
